2019 Selvadolce Gumbei di Amirai Grenache

This is a new wine from Selvadolce, a red wine from Granaccia (Grenache) grapes. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats spontaneously with the use of indigenous yeasts. The wine ages in cement and wood for about 12 months and is then bottled without clarification or filtration. The 2017 Gumbe di Amirai has a deep ruby colour, a very intense nose with notes of dried prunes, chocolate and leather. On the palate full bodied with notes of dried black fruit, cloves and pepper, structural with a rustic tannin on the finish.
