Winemaker, Milan Nestarac, grew up in the biggest wine growing region in the Czech Republic, Moravia, where everyone seemed to be making their own wines including his family. Wine was always present in their daily lives – so much so that Milan never even considered another career. In 1989 his family started the journey toward professional winemaking after the Czech state returned a tiny plot that had been previously confiscated by the communists. 

Běl use to have the same label and bottle as his other white wines, but Milan felt it did not do this wine justice. The label is now a linocut made by his wife Mirka and the bottle's shape and crown cap transport Milan back to his childhood when he used to buy beer or juice in such containers.

Běl is a wine with no maceration, but a character and "rustic finesse" that fits into its own category. Fresh and aromatic, this wine is extremely approachable which was the goal Milan had when creating this wine.
