The Fenocchio family dynasty originated with Giacomo Fenocchio, great-great-grandfather of today's winemaker, Claudio Fenocchio. Through five generations this has remained a traditionalist Piedmontese producer, intent on producing wines of fine balance with proper tannic structure, color concentration, and finesse. This Langhe Nebbiolo is sourced from vines that are on average fifteen years old, growing in the Monteforte d’Alba region of Piedmont; it is dry, with intense fruity aromas of plum and cherry, good body, harmonious tannins, and hints of licorice and rose petals.
